Charge shield shuttle for civilian use with traveling time always less than 20 seconds


1) For civilian use, we can build a vacuum tunnel connecting two cities. The current tunnel example is the LHC (Large Hadron Collider).


2) Each end of the tunnel is equipped with a structure, hollow at its center and in toroid form as shown in Fig. 30 below.

3) The purpose of this structure or CST is :


a) To provide external charging of the shuttle to produce charge shield for it


b) The shuttle is a vehicle to transport passengers


c) This CST will charge the shuttle until the shuttle having stable charge shield


d) To release the charge shield shuttle for it to travel at 2,200km/s inside the vacuum tunnel toward its destination


e) To act as receiver to hold the charge shield shuttle after this shuttle reached its destination


f) Then this CST will discharge the shuttle’s charge shield


g) After that the passengers can come out from the shuttle

4) Below is the calculation for the shuttle traveling time :


Earth perimeter along the equator line is 40,074km At speed of 2,200km/s, the time taken for traveling one complete round of earth is

Since nothing on earth at 2 locations will be farther than this distance, this mean that every charge shield shuttle trip will take less than 20 seconds on earth.

5) Another interesting note is that, the fuel cost for each charge shield shuttle (CSS) trip is always the same. For example the fuel cost for a CSS to travel from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore is the same for it to travel from Kuala Lumpur to New York. This is because the CST always need to charge the CSS to a stable charge shield to form. Then this CSS will travel at 2,200km/s no matter what is the traveling distance is.

6) Calculation for the amount of water used in fusion to drive 10 tons of CSS for each trip :


2 hydrogen mass is

3.34 x 10-27 kg


1 molecule water mass is

3 x 10-26 kg


1 molecule water mass to

2 atoms hydrogen ratio is

(1 molecule water having

2 atoms hydrogen) :

Energy required for 10 tons of stable charge shield is

2.42 x 1016 J


Assuming energy efficiency of 35%, total energy required to sustained this charge shield is

Total hydrogen mass to produce this amount of energy is

= 110 kg x 8.982 = 988 kg

≅ 1 ton of water
