The filter in sheet form (Fig. 1) is considered using an area (this sheet having length and width) filtration, while for the zig-zag filter (Fig. 2) is having a bit of volume filtration (it has length and width, and some thickness).
But both type of filters not having true volume filtration capability because these filters can’t arrange in cascaded manner to produce volume filtration.
Then I am coming up with this “Rectangular Shape Filter with Middle Plate (RFMP)” that can be arranged in cascaded manner to produce volume filtration capability.
More over, this RFMP can be constructed into very thin thickness without affecting its air filtration efficiency, and the ease of cleaning. Then each RFMP housing can fit more RFMPs. Then the air or water filtration capacity of the respective device will be dramatically increased.
The example of the
cascading arrangement is as shown in Fig. 3 below of an air filtration device using this RFMP as air filtration medium.
