High Volume Water Jet with Backpack Tank as Reservoir :

The water jet is a children toy that provide large volume water shot to a far distance in just one pushing by hand. This distance can be from few meters up to 10m or more, depending on the pushing strength of the user. The example of this water jet is as shown in Fig. 1 below.




The problem facing this water jet is, after the pushing. The user needs to find a water source to reload water into this water jet. In this case by immersing the water jet nozzle into the water and then the user pull the water jet handle so that the water can suck from the water source into this water jet. By this the user can shots again by pushing this water jet handle in.


The above process needs to be repeated again and again if the user needs to continue playing with this water jet. In this case the user should never left far away from the water source.


By introducing this “High Volume Water Jet with Backpack Tank as Reservoir (WJB)” the above problem can be solved. The example of this WJB is as shown in Fig. 2 below.

There is not much different between the water jet and this WJB during handle pushing to shot out the water. The main different is during user reload the water into the water jet or this WJB.


For water jet, the user needs to find a water source. Then the nozzle must put down and fully immersed inside the water (if not the user will suck the air only). Then pull the handle to suck the water into this water jet.


While for user using this WJB, his/her job is only to pull the handle of this WJB, regardless of the current WJB water jet position. Then the water from the backpack tank will refill into its water jet. That is the user job only push or pull this handle, go wherever he/she like and the fun continue, as long as there is water inside this backpack tank.


The WJB having two built in check valves to control the water push out from the water jet and water suck in from the backpack tank when user pulling the handle.


The pushing mechanism is as shown in Fig. 3 below.
