Center Hollow Type Filter Water Filtration, Filter Cleaning and Back Wash System :


An uncloggable Water Filtration System

(when backwash was

carried out periodically)


Center Hollow Type Filter (CF) can be backwash too?


Yes! You are right, it can be backwash too, but only with an extra step.


That is during backwash, we provide some vibration (use rubber hammer to knock on this CF housing) into this CF. Then the vibration force will force the dirt stick on the outer surface of this CF being wash out. Click on below link to watch this CF in backwash mode.

The example of this CF is as shown in Fig. 1 below.

The example of this CF in the CF housing is as shown in Fig. 2 below.

The principal of this CF water filtration and backwash is as shown in Fig. 3 below.

For backwashing, user needs to use rubber hammer to knock on the CF housing as shown in Fig. 4 below.

My latest invention related to this CF is a 3 in 1 functions CF housing as shown in Fig. 5 below.


It can perform CF water filtration, filter cleaning and backwash.


I called it “Center Hollow Type Filter Water Filtration, Filter Cleaning and Back Wash System (CFBW)”.

The working principal of this CFBW is as shown in Fig. 6 below.

For mode switching, the user just needs to turn the handle knob on top of this CFBW to its proper position.


All these modes switching are possible thanks to the special core inside this CFBW.

This CFBW having three socket connections, they are IN, OUT and FLUSH respectively.


The raw water is connects to IN socket, while the treated water is connects to OUT socket, and a built in hose already connected to FLUSH socket


The brief description of these 3 modes are as shown below :


a) Water Filtration Mode

In water filtration mode, the raw water will flow to the outer surface of the CF, then the filtered water will come out from the inner surface of this CF as shown in Fig. 9 below.


Then this treated water will come out from the OUT socket.

b) Backwash mode

In this backwash mode, the raw water will flow to the inner surface of this CF and comes out from the outer surface of this CF as shown in Fig. 10 below.

In this way, the dirt on the outer surface of this CF will blow out and come out from the FLUSH socket as waste water.


c) Filter cleaning mode

In this filter cleaning mode, the raw water will flow to the outer surface of the CF and comes out from the inner surface of this CF as shown in Fig. 9 above.


But instead of coming out to the OUT socket, this water will come out to the FLUSH socket as waste water.


The main purpose of this mode is to flush out any residue stuck on the inner surface of this CF during backwash operation.
