Brief Description

for

Air Conditional Indoor Unit Using Rectangular Shape Filter with Middle Plate as Air Filtration Medium


This invention is to incorporate the “Rectangular Shape Filter with Middle Plate (RFMP)” into the “Air Conditional Indoor Unit (AI)”, so that this AI air filtration efficiency can be improved.


This new invention I called it “Air Conditional Indoor Unit Using Rectangular Shape Filter with Middle Plate as Air Filtration Medium

(AI-RFMP)”.


The sample of RFMP used in this AI-RFMP is as shown in Fig. 1 below.

This RFMP having both ends open for air intake, while the whole body is surrounded by net.


Then this incoming air will come out from the net. Any dust in this air with size bigger than the net density will be blocked by the net, leaving filtered air come out.


Let say the net surface facing the RFMP body we called it inner surface of net, while the net surface facing out of this RFMP body we called it outer surface of net. Then most the dust will trap on the inner surface of net.


Over time when most of the inner surface of net been clogged by the dust, then the user needs to take out this RFMP for cleaning.


This RFMP can be cleaned easily by water spray to the side of this RFMP, with this RFMP hold in vertical position as shown in Fig. 2 below. .

Then the dust stick on the surface of this RFMP net will be pushed out by the spray water, then hit the surface of the middle plate, then flow downward along with the water, and finally comes out from this RFMP.


The user needs to clean the other side of the net using the same method as mentioned above.


By theory, for same surface area of the current single sheet filter and this RFMP, this RFMP is having two times air filtration capacity as compared to this single sheet filter, because this RFMP having two surfaces.


Come back to this AI-RFMP, the sample of it is shown in Fig. 3 below.

This AI-RFMP having two chambers to fit this RFMP. In this case each chamber only fit with one RFMP.


Actually, by simple modification, each chamber can fit more than one RFMP, as this RFMP can be constructed into very thin thickness without affecting its air filtration efficiency, and the ease of cleaning. Then the air filtration capacity of this AI-RFMP will be dramatically increased.


These two chambers I called it the vertical chamber and the horizontal chamber.


Fig. 4 shows the isometric view of AI-RFMP with horizontal door opened and the RSFM was put in horizontal position not far from this door.

Fig. 6 shows the isometric view of AI-RFMP without both horizontal and vertical doors in place and the RFMP was put in place inside both chambers.
